Baseball Knappa scores 67th straight league win

Apr. 5 — Vernonia kept it close for four-and-a-half innings, but Knappa pulled away with seven runs in its final two at-bats Tuesday for a 12-4 win at the Ridgefield Sports Complex, where both Logger teams opened the Northwest League baseball season. As always, Knappa is the heavy favorite to win the league title. The Loggers have a league record of 146 wins and three losses over the last nine years, and have now won 67 straight in league competition.
