McClugage Bridge lane reduction will begin Monday Heres what to know

PEORIA — Traffic on the westbound span of the McClugage Bridge will temporarily be reduced to one lane beginning Monday. A routine inspection of the bridge is expected to last four to five days, weather permitting, according to a March 29 news release from the Illinois Department of Transportation. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternative routes, IDOT said in the release. The eastbound McClugage Bridge is being replaced after more than 70 years of serving the Peoria area.
