Better technology for first responders among items on Springfields capital improvements wish list

SPRINGFIELD — Over 447 projects, at a cost of $1.3 billion, are part of the city’s capital improvement plan. These projects, which the city proposes to tackle by 2028, include the North Riverfront Park Boat House and multiple parks throughout Springfield, the city announced. Other major ongoing and coming projects include work at the DeBerry Swan Elementary School, which costs approximately $95 million, according to William Baker, Mayor Domenic J. Sarno’s spokesman.
