Gov Reynolds adds 6 more counties to disaster proclamation after Fridays tornadoes storm
Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation for six additional counties following tornadoes and severe weather last Friday. The additional counties include Appanoose, David, Iowa, Jackson, Lucas and Monroe. Reynolds previously signed a disaster relief proclamation on Saturday for 12 counties in eastern Iowa: Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Grundy, Johnson, Keokuk, Linn, Mahaska, Wapello and Washington. At least nine possible tornadoes were spotted across Iowa as storms with hail and heavy winds battered the eastern portion of the state.
