Ashton Hayes brings speed energy and enthusiasm to Nevada Wolf Pack football team

Nevada opens the college football season Sept. 2 at Southern Cal. Ashton Hayes got slammed to the ground early at a recent Nevada football team practice, and it was exhilarating. He felt back home, in two senses: on the football turf and back in Reno. Hayes, who was one of the most electric running backs in recent Nevada high school football history, signed with Cal during his senior year at McQueen last spring.
