Assault with a frozen fish puts store clerk in hospital gets Michigan man arrested

MOUNT CLEMENS, Michigan — A man angered when told a market’s fish counter had closed attacked a clerk with a four-pound frozen fish, sending the victim to the hospital, prosecutors say. MD Jobul Hussain, 60, was arraigned Monday in Warren District Court on a charge of aggravated assault, according to a news release from the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. Court records show Hussain was released after he posted a $5,000 bond. Prosecutors say Hussain was at Desi Fruit Market at about 7:13 p.m. Sunday and approached the fish counter, which had closed at 7 p.m. because of the Ramadan holiday.…
