Syracuse, N.Y. – A car flipped twice and hit a telephone pole Saturday night before landing upside down on a Syracuse street after the driver attempted to pass another vehicle, police said. Somehow, the driver was not badly injured. Officers responded to the 300 block of Otisco Street around 11:45 p.m. for a motor vehicle collision, said Syracuse police spokesman Lt. Matthew Malinowski. Algernon Torrence was driving a 2022 Ford Mustang when Torrence tried to pass a 2013 Nissan, Malinowski said.
