Cold temperatures push back mosquito season
CHICO, Calif. — Recent wet weather has left behind more standing water, which is prime breeding ground for mosquitoes. Despite those favorable conditions, local vector control officials say mosquito season could be somewhat delayed this year. “Compared to last year, it almost seemed like we didn’t have a winter and last year the mosquito season started earlier because it warmed up earlier.
