Concord man slain in Pleasant Hill parkinglot shooting

PLEASANT HILL — A dispute between two groups of people led to the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old Concord man early Monday in the parking lot of a sports bar, authorities said. The man’s name was not released Monday morning. No arrests were announced. In a news release, police said they responded about 1:12 a.m. Monday to 911 calls of a shooting with a victim down in the parking lot of Farrington’s Bar, 1938 Contra Costa Blvd. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
