Demolition could bring new life to 2 Ypsilanti city lots now home to stalled projects
YPSILANTI, MI – Two residential lots on Ypsilanti’s south side that ended up in the city’s hands through tax foreclosure are set to be wiped clean and again offered up for sale. On Tuesday, April 4, city leaders unanimously OK’d issuing a request to find a contractor to demolish existing structures on the Harriet Street properties. On each lot, at 756 and 856 Harriet Street, residential home projects were underway but stalled, leaving unfinished foundations, according to Ypsilanti Community Development Director Christopher Jacobs.
