Chico, Calif.— — the Chico school board met Wednesday night regarding student policy. This comes after a lawsuit claims a local elementary school forced a child to change genders without parental knowledge. Aurora Regino, who spoke during public comment, is suing Chico Unified School District. She claims her then eleven-year-old daughter told a Sierra View Elementary school counselor she “felt like a boy”. Her daughter was then allegedly given a boy’s name and identity the same day, without her knowledge.
