EASTHAMPTON — Despite being dismissed as the next school superintendent due to what he feels is a small and unintentional transgression, Vito Perrone said he is hoping the School Committee will change its mind. Some parents and staff members who agree Perrone shouldn’t be dropped so quickly are also hoping the School Committee reverses its decision and have scheduled a protest Monday evening in front of the School Department Central Office, 50 Payson Ave. Perrone, who is currently working as the interim superintendent of West Springfield Schools, was offered the job of Easthampton superintendent on March 24.
