Elk Mound powerlifters claim pair of WHSPA state championships

APPLETON — The Elk Mound powerlifting program continues to accumulate accolades and trophies. The Mounders recently returned from the 2023 Wisconsin High School Powerlifting Association’s (WHSPA) state meet, which was held March 4th and 5th in Appleton, with a pair of state championships in tow. The Elk Mound girls team won this year’s Division 2 Girls’ Raw state championship while the boys’ squad finished in fifth place. Adding the teams’ scores together, allowed the Mounders to also claim the 2023 Division 2 combined girls’/boys’ Raw state title.
