Fact Check Team Florida joins 25 other states to allow concealed carry without permit
WASHINGTON (TND) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Monday allowing people to conceal carry in the state without a government-issued permit. Under the current law, people who want to conceal carry in public must get a license from the state and complete certain requirements, like an extra layer of background checks and firearm training to prove “competence.” Under the new law, which will go into effect July 1, 2023, there is no training required, people would only need to have a valid state ID on them and failure to do so would result in a $25 fine.…
