Firefighters work to control brush fires in Daytona Beach

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Firefighters in Volusia County are continuing to work to control brush fires in Daytona Beach.

Firefighters stayed on the scene overnight in the Tiger Bay Forest area monitoring two fires that flared up Wednesday afternoon.

Officials are planning to give an update on the fires Thursday morning.

Officials said the fires are contained and no homes are endangered.
