GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Frank Anthony Hargitt, 62, was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated battery after reportedly admitting that he shot a man but didn’t intend to kill him. Gainesville Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3200 block of SW 26th Way yesterday at about 1:20 p.m. and found a victim with a gunshot wound in his buttock.
