Helias baseball tops defending state champ Father Tolton

COLUMBIA — The Helias Crusaders used a big fifth inning Tuesday to post an 8-3 victory against the defending Class 3 state champion Father Tolton Trailblazers. Drew Miller got Helias off and running with a leadoff home run to left field to start the game and Sam Wyrick scored the second run of the frame on a double by David Hofherr.
