Hundreds of students walk out of class across Portland to protest ICE Oregon Public Broadcasting OPB

Federal officers deployed clouds of tear gas and other crowd control munitions, including flash-bang grenades, on Saturday afternoon outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Portland on demonstrators.

The District 1 councilor said a Wednesday protest that ended in four arrests is the latest action at council meetings that has herself and her colleagues fearing for their safety.

The National Weather Service said areas along the Sandy and Clackamas rivers could see rising water.
