Ky governor signs bill to protect domestic violence victims

FRANKFORT — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed a bill Tuesday to expand an address confidentiality program aimed at protecting domestic violence victims from their abusers. It builds on a program shielding victims’ home addresses from voter rolls. The new law expands the program to mask their addresses on other publicly available government records. The new law also removes the requirement that survivors have an emergency protective order to hide their addresses on public records.
