Three Austin police officers are on administrative duty while the shooting is investigated. Authorities say they fired their weapons and killed a suspected gunman inside a downtown bar Saturday night.

In a statement, Bowman said that he was "rushing to make" the vote and "came to a door that is usually open for votes but today would not open."
