Lake County Recorders Office launches Land Record Center

Apr. 4 — Lake County Recorder Becky Lynch recently announced the launch of the “Lake County Land Record Center.” The new center, which is open to the public, is compiled of 5,000 books previously stored in three locations on two floors. The hub serves to benefit real estate agents, title examiners, attorneys, and all residents of Lake County, in addition to anyone looking to purchase real estate, Lynch said. “It just took us a couple of years, but we got everything together and brought the 1840 archives over to the new Records Room B….now these historic volumes are more accessible…
