Man accused of uploading child porn to social media site

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Twenty-one-year-old Nikhil Mathur faces five charges of possession of child pornography, Level 5 felonies. Mathur, who is from Overland Park, Kansas, lives in Village West Apartments in West Lafayette, according to prosecutors. He’s accused of uploading several child porn videos to social media platforms in November 2021, according to prosecutors. Police served a search warrant in July 2022 at Mathur’s apartment and seized his electronic devices, including his phone. The devices had child porn on them, according to prosecutors.
