Man dead after shooting near 51st Avenue and Baseline Raod

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road, late Saturday night.

Officers say they got a call just after 11:30 p.m., about a shooting in the area.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital where police say he did not survive his injuries.

Police have not identified the man yet.

Detectives were called to take over this investigation, and they say there are no suspects at this time.
