Mustangs explode for 20 runs in rout of Gunderson High School baseball

WATSONVILLE — Monte Vista Christian School’s baseball team continues to score runs by the touchdown. Despite returning just two full-time starters, the Mustangs haven’t missed a beat, or a beatdown, since winning the CIF NorCal Division V Championship last spring. In their lone game this week, MVC beat up on outmanned and outmatched Gunderson of San Jose 20-2 in nonleague action Monday. MVC has scored 14 or more runs four times this season.
