Northeast Ohio avoids severe weather but tornado kills 5 in Missouri
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wednesday brought strong winds and some heavy rain to Northeast Ohio, but the region managed to avoid any severe weather. Wind gusts of 42 mph were recorded by the National Weather Service in Cleveland. In Lake County, a tree fell onto a car during the afternoon in Perry Township and ended up closing a section of Hale Road for about an hour, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
