Physical testing to be held for potential Sylacauga law officers

SYLACAUGA — In an effort to locate individuals who might like to go into law enforcement as a career, the Sylacauga Police Department will be administering the Alabama Peace Officers and Training Commission physical ability test on April 4, April 18, May 2, and May 16. This test will include a few exercises as well as a one-and-a-half-mile run. Participants are expected to complete 22 push-ups and 25 sit-ups in one minute, while the run needs to be completed in 15 minutes, 28 seconds. Participants should wear the correct attire to the test.
