Police make arrest in armed home invasion incident in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon that occurred on Tuesday, in the 300 block of Franklin Street, Northeast. At around 2:45 am, suspects entered the victims’ residence, and one brandished a firearm, leading to a physical altercation between the suspect and the victims. During the altercation, the suspect fired the handgun, striking one of the victims before fleeing the scene with stolen property.
