Rices Jackson Strong named the Free Press Mr Hockey for the 202223 season

SOUTH BURLINGTON – Jerry Tarrant remembers Jackson Strong’s introduction to high school hockey well. He faced long odds as a freshman in St. Albans against a Bobwhites that would won the championship a few months later. But Strong didn’t need favorable conditions. “That’s usually a pretty big event for a kid, especially a freshman,” said Rice coach Tarrant of Strong’s first live action. “I was just so impressed.
