Rider University shelters in place for possible active shooter
LAWRENCEVILLE — Rider University went on shelter-in-place status early Monday afternoon. The status is for the report of an active shooter on the school’s campus off Route 206 in Lawrenceville, according to campus spokeswoman Kristine Brown. No other details were available. The threat comes less than a week after a shooting at the Covenant School, a private Christian school in Nashville, the 19th shooting at an American school or university in 2023.
