Second graders at Shelby enjoy March Madness with books not basketball
SHELBY — March Madness has reached Natalie Shell’s second-grade class. But instead of basketball, her students are focused on books. “I picked out 32 books ahead of time and created a bracket,” said Shell, who is in her fourth year at Shelby. “It’s displayed in the classroom. They filled out the bracket, like you do for March Madness.” She gave a hard copy of the bracket to each of her students.
