Student walk out calls for gun reform after school shooting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville students will make a call to action during a walk out Monday, one week to the day after a school shooting in Green Hills claimed six lives. The event is by the March For Our Lives organization — a movement born out of the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida where 17 students were killed in 2018. They’ve since led numerous marches and events in an effort to push lawmakers to change policies than can reduce gun violence and save lives.
