Suspect Sought in Benning Road Shooting Incident

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in an assault with a dangerous weapon (gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, March 12, 2023, in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. At around 2:41 pm, officers responded to reports of a shooting and found an adult male victim who was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
