Umatilla helps residents with spring cleaning

UMATILLA — The city of Umatilla is offering help with sprucing up around residents’ houses and yards. A Spring Community Clean-up effort is planned on April 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Citizens must register in advance for curbside pickup. Things such as yard debris, old furniture and appliances are all eligible for free disposal. Items not permitted include concrete, tires, biohazards, liquid wastes and objects with asbestos.
