Waterspout confirmed in Atlantic City billboard tumbles in severe storms Saturday
ATLANTIC CITY — A waterspout was confirmed by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly at 8:09 p.m. Saturday. On land, strong winds destroyed a billboard. The waterspout, a rapidly rotating column of air over a body of water, was found by The Press of Atlantic City after Twitter user @FranksForecast posted photos from Brigantine. Around the same time, a billboard at West End and Albany avenues was torn out of the water and destroyed.
