Wellesley to vote on holding public meeting about controversial tax increase
WELLESLEY — Wellesley council will vote at its meeting April 4 whether to hold a public meeting later this month on the township’s controversial 14 per cent tax hike. Residents have filled council chambers following the budget’s approval and have decried council for a lack of transparency in approving the 14 per cent tax increase, which adds $179.29 to the average tax bill in 2023.
