Westlake police introduce new K9 Vince

WESTLAKE, Ohio — The Westlake Police Department has added another K-9 officer to its pack. Vince, a Dutch shepherd, joins the department’s three other K-9 officers. The department introduced the dog to the public March 31. Vince was donated by Westlake resident Patricia Siffermann. She said she got the idea from a friend in Virginia who has become a regular K-9 donor. Siffermann said the cost for obtaining one of the dogs to become a K-9 is about $1,000 to $1,200.
