Westminster softball drops conference opener

GREENVILLE, Ill. — The Westminster College softball team started St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on the road against the Greenville University Panthers Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Jays would take an early 1-0 lead by scoring in the top of the first inning; the Panthers would tie the game in the bottom half of the frame. Then, they would play three scoreless innings with the game tied 1-1. Greenville would score four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and win the game 9-1.
