Trenton Bourguet thrives as role of underdog as ASU quarterback competition heats up

Trenton Bourguet is used to being underestimated. He came to Arizona State as a walk-on and sat in the quarterback room for nearly three years before being given a chance. Last year the Sun Devils brought in a high profile transfer in Emory Jones from Florida. While Jones began the season as the starting quarterback, it was Bourguet that ended the season with that job. This season Bourguet is again fighting for the top spot, his primary competition coming from Notre Dame transfer Drew Pyne and highly touted four-star prep prospect Jaden Rashada.
